2166 - The first prototype Hyperdrive is constructed by Carson Industrial.
2170 - The first Hyperdrive ships, Ignacio and the Venezuela are constructed at the Carson Industrial shipyards in Mars orbit.
2172 - Ignacio and Venezuela launch. They are never heard from again in Terran controlled space. It will be two and a half centuries before humanity learns what happened to them.
2174 - Ignacio and Venezuela emerge from the hyperspace wormhole near what is now Yazrag. The planet is christened as New Eden and settlement begins.
2193 - First contact with Dralasite species. Peaceful negotiations begin between the two species.
2224 - The fiftieth anniversary of New Eden. Colonies are started on several new worlds.
2226 - The first contact with the Sathar.
2230 - The Sathar fleet moves into Terran Colonial territory. The relatively small Colonial fleet engages the technologically superior Sathar fleet and is decimated. The remaining forces withdraw to protect the colonies while they evacuate further towards dralasite space. Nearly 60% of all human colonists are killed in the subsequent invasion by Sathar forces.
2231 - Foundation of Gran Quivera in Prenglar.
2236 - First contact with Yazarian species. Relations are initially very tense.
2238 - First contact with Vrusk species. Prior contact with the yazarian species enables the vrusk to successfully negotiate a peaceful coexistence between yazarian and humans.
2239 - The First Sathar war begins with the invasion and destruction of several vrusk controlled worlds. The other three species respond to the pleas for assistance and the Sathar are driven back into their own space.
2243 - The First Sathar war ends with the Sathar being driven back. Realizing the possibility of further incursion from the Sathar, the dralasite, human, vrusk and yazarian peoples begin drafting out the Federation treaty.
2245 - The United Planetary Federation is founded with the headquarters on Gran Quivera in the Prenglar System.
2266 - The Second Sathar War begins much like the first; with several Vrusk worlds bombarded by a surprise Sathar assault.
2267 - UPF response fleets meet the Sathar in orbit around K'tsa-Kar and are driven back. The subsequent battle at White Light yields no better results for the UPF forces.
2268 - The Sathar, after consolidating their hold on White Light move into Tristkar. The UPF forces drive the Sathar back to White Light. The victory is the first the UPF forces experience in the war. It is a costly victory though and the UPF losses keep them from pressing their advantage against the Sathar. The Sathar also suffered extensive losses and begin a guerrilla war in the surrounding sectors. UPF forces are spread thin trying to contain the Sathar attacks.
2270 - The UPF forces strike their first definitive blow against the Sathar. Forces built in secrecy move into White Light in a surprise maneuver that throws the Sathar units into chaos. The UPF destroy an estimated 70% of the Sathar fleet before it disengages and retreats to K'tsa-Kar. Not wanting to lose momentum, yazarian Admiral Ta'Maarg follows on the heals of the retreating Sathar and joins battle with the Sathar fleet at K'tsa-Kar. Though outnumbered, Ta'Maarg proves victorious in routing the Sathar out of K'tsa-Kar. Ground forces led by General Saul Varazzi begin operations to retake the planets of Golloywog in White Light and Kawdl-Kit it K'tsa-Kar.
2271 - Ta'Maarg carries the war forth into Kizk-Kar. Once again faced with superior numbers, he manages to pull a surprising victory against the Sathar. General Varazzi destroys the last vestiges of Sathar resistance on Golloywog. He then concentrates all of his attention on Kawdl-Kit.
2272 - Ta'Maarg continues his successful campaign and frees the Rim system of Klaeok from the Sathar, effectively driving the Sathar out of UPF space. Bolstered by additional warships, Admiral Ta'Maarg presses his advantage and takes the fight to the Sathar. After reviewing the costs, both financially and in casualties, of fighting a ground war against the Sathar, Ta'Maarg chooses to systematically bombard each Sathar planet he comes across with nuclear weapons. The race to Sathar extinction begins.
2289 - Ta'Maarg retires from his position of fleet admiral after chasing the Sathar through more than twenty systems. Over thirty worlds are bombed to the point of being unsuitable for life to form. Ta'Maarg is alternately hailed as a hero or demonized for his genocidal fury. His successor, Admiral Lu Fang, a human, continues the pogrom of ÒcleansingÓ for another five years before he declares the war over and claims victory for the UPF. Fifty three life bearing worlds were sterilized in the fury to eliminate the warlike Sathar once and for all.
2294 - Second Sathar War is officially over, though no sign of the Sathar themselves has been seen in nearly six years. Former Sathar space is quarantined by order of the UPF council. The next 180 years is spent in relative peace with population growth and technological advancement at extremely high levels.
2300 - Reports of strange sensations in hyperspace travel soon lead to the phrase Voidspace being coined.
2425 - A Terran Imperial surveyor ship arrives in the Frontier. It makes contact with human agencies and then returns to Terran space through the wormhole.
2433 - The first Consular fleet arrives at Prenglar. Diplomatic relations are established between the Terran Empire and UPF.
2474 - Terran Imperial Fleet arrives in Prenglar space. They demand the immediate surrender of the UPF and all member species to Imperial control. Vrusk and Dralasite envoys protest. Yazarian envoy escapes Prenglar space. Yazarian species declares war on Terran Empire forces. Fighting is sporadic with most conflicts going in favor of the vastly superior Terran fleet.
2475 - Formation of a black hole in former Terran Colonial space. The black hole causes strange resonance with the Void and the wormholes to Terran, Vrusk and Dralasite homeworlds are destroyed. Terran leadership is demoralized in the face of isolation and diplomatic relations are opened up with Yazarian representatives.
2476 - An armistice between Terran and Yazarian forces is declared. Before the end of the year, the armistice becomes a full out peace treaty and the foundation for the new United Planetary Federation is laid. A number of splinter groups are created on both sides.
2478 - Most of the splinter groups have fallen under the direct control of either the Yazarian Freedom League or the Empire in Exile.
2480 - Current Year.
