Literary Virtual Reality In A High-Tech Low-Life Hangout
Alt.Cyberpunk.Chatsubo is a Usenet group centered on the cyberpunk writing style. If you're not sure what Cyberpunk is I can only offer up two things. First is read William Gibson's 'Neuromancer', that's Cyberpunk. Second we don't know, no one has answered the most sacred of questions to everyone's agreement. We manage however. For those that don't have access to a Newsreader here is a GoogleGroups link ACC GoogleGroups or if you've configured your browser for Usenet ACC Newsgroup. If you have a newsgroup program you kow how to find us. We're behind the red door named Charlie.
Below is a list of resources, information and links regarding the ACC and the crew that calls it home on Usenet.
- A.C.C. Anthology - The crew has gotten together to produce a book of our collected works. There are currently two books of collected short stories from the ACC Newsgroup. Both of them are available through iUniverse and Amazon as well as any other book retailer. We also maintain a Website with author bios.
- Joel, of DvusMedia, was kind enough to let me design the Sferic Conditioning Album Cover. We let more than authors in these days you know.
- Here's a post that I took to heart and feel is worth sharing written by our own Dr. Silva. It sparked a small debate, I don't know who else grabbed it for posting but I'm keeping it here permanently for reading: Ended Vision, read and think about your life.
- I'm also the KotF (Keeper of the FAQ) for ACC at the moment, which means I post it about once a month - though I often skip months. I don't think anyone's noticed, at least no one has complained. Here is a copy of it as a Text File, if I get time I'll format it for the web.
