Clannad
Clannad formed around 1970 from two families, Brennan and Duggan. All the members come from these two families. They made their mark in Ireland and much of Europe in the 1970s. In the 1980s they gained world wide fame, and brought attention to the growing fusion of traditional Irish musics with modern rock and pop sounds. Several members have gone one to form musical careers as well.
