Cabaret Voltaire
Cabaret Voltaire started as a trio in the early 1970s out of the Dadaist movement in Switzerland. The name itself is the name of a Dada club. They had trouble gaining any kind of acceptance until the Punk music movement if the mid 1970s. By the mid 1980s the group was a duo and made a decision to go more towards main stream electro-pop. By 1994 the group stopped releasing new material.
