Assemblage 23
Formed in the late 1980s as a synthesis of Goth, Pop and Industrial. Sole member Tom Shear discovered the sound he wanted for his project during a Depeche Mode concert in 1988 from an opening DJ act. It took another ten years after that before he was signed to a label and starter to put out albums for the masses.
