Music Information

Afro Celt Sound System

Afro Celt Sound System formed in the mid 1990s as a collaboration between a wide range of musicians. Originally fusing modern dance music with Celtic and African folk music, it has over time expanded to include any number of world influences. A core group of musicians appears on most albums, along with an extensive guest list to accompany them. For the 2003 album Seed they briefly changed their name to Afro Celts, but by the time the next release was out they had switched back to Afro Celt Sound System.
